International Blues Challenge 2015

Did not make the finals in the IBC's but was thrilled to have made it to the semi-finals!! This was a great experience for me...meeting new friends, hearing great music...you couldn't get in an elevator without there being 2 or more musicians in it! It was fun to share Memphis and music with people from all over the world! Thank you to Janet Webb, Marsha Wooten, and all the folks with the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola! Grateful for your support! Till next time!

New CD!

This past summer, I was fortunate to be invited on a tour with Ramblin Steve and Gardner, Bill Steber, and Wes Lee. We did a month of shows from New Orleans to Memphis! We decided to put out the CD of our show so people would know what we sounded like! The project grew from 4 songs to 12 songs! We also had some featured guest players on the CD. It is available on CD baby. The title is "Times ain't like they used to be" by the Jericho Road show vol. 3. Get you one and enjoy some postwar blues!

Sam Chatmon

Happy Birthday to Sam Chatmon! He would've been 116 today! He was a member of a famous Mississippi musical family called the Mississippi sheiks! As the blues resurged in the 60s, he began playing solo performances again. He was my dear friend and mentor! I miss him dearly!
